I'm cruising ESPN.com and I see a headline, "Cubs Sign Kerry Wood, Pending Physical". LOL! ROFL! WHY??? THIS IS WHAT IS SO EASY ABOUT HATING THE CUBS! THEIR STUPIDITY!! Here are the top 5 reasons why this is pathetic and hilarious.
5. Kerry Wood hasn't been good in 10 years. He's old, bad, and annoying.
4. Nobody has a chance against the red sox and phillies this year, it's not even worth trying.
3. They have a rediculous payroll, why not go for Grienke or someone who is decent?
2. They have no chance they are the cubs.
1. Pending physical for kerry wood? chances of passing are the chances of hitting roy halladay.

2010 Turkeys of the Year
In sports, the Turkey award is given to the biggest failure of the year. So here are the fails.
1. The Chicago Cubs, a team with a massive payroll played its 102nd straight season without a championship. That is a flat out joke.
2. Brett Favre. He retired and un-retired (again) and is playing dreadfully, faking injuries and he did a couple of things I can't mention on a G-Rated blog.
3. Ken Macha established himself as the worst manager in the history of baseball. He put Hoffman in with ties, waited until August to call up Lorenzo Cain, then sent him down when he was hitting .800! He made a team with so much talent look like the Cubs at one point.
4. Tiger Woods. Way to go Tiger. Once again, G-Rated blog, but we all know what happened.
5. Jim Joyce and Bud Selig. Jim Joyce admitted he blew an obvious call at 1st that denied Armando Galaraga a Perfect game. Selig could have reversed the horrendous call but he did not.
6. The Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings are 2 teams that came into the season with huge expectation and both of them suck and had their coach fired after the Packers crush them.
7. Lebron James tottaly blew his reputation by abandoning his hometown on national T.V.
8. Ilya Kovalachuk got offered a (correct me if I'm wrong) 17 year $112 million contract to play for the New Jersey Devils, and the offer was turned down by the NHL. Now he has a 15 year $100 million contract. Oh, and guess what? He's only got 4 goals, and his +/- is an ultra low -10. FAILLLLL.

2010 World Series Preview
The year of the pitcher. 2 perfect games, 5 no hitters, a 12-12 pitcher with an ERA of 2, a playoff no-no, and the most exciting and best pitching debut in baseball history. It's safe to say that the 2nd year of the pitcher was one of the most exciting baseball seasons in a long time. But now there are only 2 teams left. Both were big time underdogs coming into the playoffs. They battled off their league's previous pennant winners and won nail bitters in front of electric sold out crowds. The 2010 world series is here.
Because I'm a pitching guy, you may not be as excited as I am, but any big baseball fan knows that game 1 will be the pitching duel of the decade. Cliff Lee and Tim Lincicum are arguably the 2 best pitchers in the bigs. Them, Halladay, and Felix Hernandez. 2 of the best of this generation on underdog teams going against each other in the world series.
Time for some predictions. Overall, I say Rangers in 7. Why? The new mr. October, Cliff Lee. No nerves get to this guy. Think back to last year when Cliff Lee was pitching for the Phillies. It was the world series, and a high pop up was hit to him. Without even moving his glove from his side, he just let the ball fall into the glove, like the whole world wasn't watching him. Cliff Lee's playoff ERA is 1.26. I'm not kidding. 1.26. He could pitch 2-3 times this series, almost a guarantee win when he's pitching. He is also my choice for series MVP. Because he is just that good. He started the season in Seattle, remember? Poor mariners. The biggest deal for the Giants is their hitting. Pablo Sandoval needs to get hot, because though he had a dreadful season he is still a fantastic hitter. He could be the guy to hit Lee, for he can hammer corner pitches and some cutters, and that's how Lee pitches. But, I have to admit that I have little hope in him.

MLB Playoff Coverage By the GBB
The 2010 MLB playoffs are here! BTW, I did not do a football post this week and I may not do one every week, for the NFL is not as awesome as I thought it would be. The most exciting series, for me, is Yankees-Twins. As a Twins Fan (don't worry, I like the Sox more) and a Yankees hater, It will rock to see that series. I can't wait to see how electric Target Field will be. I will be making many playoff updates and maybe not as many football, for this is the GBB,

Packers Gameday - Week 3 @ Chicago
Perhaps the biggest game of the NFL season for the packers comes in week 3. Then again, maybe I am falling under the NFL's biggest myth - that the Chicago Bears are good. They most certainly are not. They are actually bad. Sure, they are 2-0, but first, they're about to be 2-1, second of all, they lost to the Lions in week one. "No, they won!!!! I don't care if the Lions messed up in the endzone!" is what most Bears fans say, and, they're right. But the Bears played like losers against the Lions, and had a pretty good win against the Cowboys. They're not super bowl contenders at all. Their "star" running back is really a wide receiver. Look for a Packers win, 38-17. The Badgers won 70-3 yesterday. That's totally awesome. Poor Austin Peay, who's moto is "Fastest Growing School in Central Tennessee!"
That's all for this week.

Packers Gameday - Week 2 v.s. Bills
Welcome to week 2 of Packers Gameday. Today the Packers play the Buffalo Bills, who are 0-1. Aaron Rodgers is coming of not the greatest game. Even though he threw 2 TD, he threw 2 bad interceptions. The Lions got robbed last game, they deserved to beat the Bears. The Badgers do not deserve to be number 11 anymore. Defense, especially run and kick and punt return, have been horrendous. They won on a XP. Sad. Sorry for the short post. And sorry to anyone who is a Cubs fan.
