The diameter times pi is the circumference of that same circle. Pi goes on forever. Lots of people memorize it as far as they can. I did. Pi = 3.14159265358979323846264338347950288419716939937510582097494459230781640
The short hand for Pi is 22/7, but the approximation falls apart after 3.14. I did a report on Pi in 10th grade. I used an old fashioned computer (the size of a room - it was 1980) and tried to get it to solve Pi. I crashed the whole system! I'll show it to you sometime - I saved it.
