Terrorist Attack on the U.S?
The Gecko Baseball Blog is not where I express my opinions on politics, but what the heck happened on that plane to Detroit! What happened was a Nigerian man tried to set of explosives on a plane (they were fireworks, I think). When he lit them, a man (or possibly a few) tackled him and put out the weapon? First of all, why did they let a man with fire works on a plane? And if those fireworks would have gone off, there would have been a disturbance in the people because we thought 9/11 would never happen again! Now, one plane crash is not as bad as 9/11, but what I really want to know is how did the fireworks (and the matches of flame starter) get on the plane? Were the airport workers terrorists too? Now, thankfully no one got hurt, but I am curious what this was. The man was a terrorist, so even though his attempt failed, yet another act of terrorism has been attempted. If we don't figure out how to stop terrorism, one of them will possibly succeed.

the guy had explosives in crystal form, and those don't come through in a magnetic sensor thing. The only way that you can see them is through a pat-down, and they don't do many of those. They were also inside his pants, so they were pretty hard to see.
Yes, they should be doing more pat-downs, but it was pretty hard to tell.
