Now, as many people know, the history of the Chicago Cubs is very sad and depressing. Yesterday, it got much worse. The Cubs, with 2 outs in the 8Th inning, gave up 11 straight hits and 12 straight runs. Watch this video of it. You'll crack up. http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=10453901
In other news, lots of trades! Haren to angels, Tejada to Padres, Oswalt to Phillies. But I think none of those are very significant. The Brewers still have Hart AND fielder. I was in favor of keeping Fielder. Fielder is a consistent power force besides April, and Braun is horribly inconsistent. But Hart is at the highest price of his career, and the Brewers need pitching. Badly. We also need a new manager (notice how Wisconsinites call the Badgers, Brewers, and mostly the Packers "we"?). I'd rather have Lou Pinnella and Ned Yost than Ken Macha, and that's hard to say.
